Quick Yellow Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. hot skim milk
1 Tbsp. shortening or special margarine (margarine whose first ingredient is liquid oil)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Prepare a square pan (8 x 8 x 2-inch) by greasing it lightly with oil or special margarine and dusting with flour.
Add vanilla to eggs and beat until thick.
Gradually beat in sugar.
Sift together the sifted flour, baking powder and salt and stir into egg mixture.
Stir in milk and margarine or shortening that have been heated together until fat is melted. Beat 1 minute or until batter is smooth.
Pour into pan and bake about 25 minutes.
