Peppermint Patties - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 box powdered sugar (1 lb.)
3 Tbsp. margarine (stick, not tub)
2 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
1/4 c. evaporated milk
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

Mix powdered sugar, margarine, peppermint and evaporated milk well.
Roll in 1-inch balls and place in wax paper lined pan. Refrigerate 20 minutes and flatten with bottom of glass to about 1/4-inch.
Chill another 30 minutes.
Melt chocolate chips and shortening together.
Dip patties and place back in refrigerator on the wax paper for as long as they take to harden.
Makes 4 1/2 to 5 dozen.
