Great Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. dry pinto beans
    2 onions, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, chopped
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cumin
    1/2 c. taco sauce
    1/2 c. green chilies, diced
    28 oz. can tomatoes
    pepper to taste
    lean ground beef, browned (optional)
Preparation
    Wash and clean beans, then cover with water; simmer for 1 hour.
    Add all the other ingredients and cook on low heat for 2 hours more.
    If using ground beef, add at this time.
    For serving: Serve over brown rice; top with chopped lettuce, cheese or sour cream and salsa.
    Serve with tortilla chips.
