Southern Red Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    several slices bacon, fried and drained on paper towel
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1 c. raw rice
    1 large or 2 small cans tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
    dash of garlic powder
    dash of Worcestershire sauce
    chopped ham
    bell pepper, chopped
Preparation
    While bacon is draining, add chopped onion and rice to bacon grease.
    Fry until brown.
    Pour in tomatoes and all the remaining ingredients.
    Stir well, place in baking dish, cover and cook in moderate oven for one hour, stirring with fork occasionally to fluff.
    (May also be baked in a heavy iron skillet or cooked in an electric frying pan.)
