My Favorite Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground lean beef chuck
    1 (14 oz.) bottle ketchup
    1 (14 oz.) bottle water
    1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder or to taste
    1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
    salt and pepper to taste
    grated cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Brown beef; drain.
    In Dutch oven, combine meat, ketchup, water, chili powder, vinegar, onion, salt and pepper.
    Simmer 1 hour.
    Add partially drained beans. Simmer 15 minutes longer.
    If desired, serve with topping of grated cheese.
