Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    2 to 3 Tbsp. warm water
    5 c. flour
    3 to 5 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and soda together.
    Cut in shortening.
    Stir in yeast mixture and buttermilk.
    Add extra flour to knead dough.
    Roll out on floured board; cut into biscuits.
    Brush with melted butter, if desired.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 20 minutes or until brown.
    Dough will keep in refrigerator for several days.
    Always allow biscuits to rise before baking.
