Creamy Carrot Cheese Bars - cooking recipe

1 pkg. Duncan Hines Deluxe carrot cake mix
1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted (1 stick)
1 c. chopped pecans
2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
20 pecan halves
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Reserve 1 1/2 cups dry cake mix for filling.
Combine remaining dry cake mix and melted butter in large mixer bowl at low speed. Stir in chopped pecans.
Firmly press into pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes.
Cool for 5 minutes, then set in freezer for 5 minutes or until bottom of pan is cold.
