Caramel Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. dark brown sugar
    1/3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Heat 1 1/2 cups milk.
    Add butter in a saucepan until scalded. Combine sugar, flour and salt.
    Make a paste with remaining 1/2 cup milk.
    Add to scalded milk mixture and cook until slightly thickened.
    Stirring constantly, add beaten eggs, cook 2 minutes longer.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Cool.
    Serve with whipped cream.
