Steak Cubes Hawaiian - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1 can chicken consomme
    1 (15 oz.) can chunk pineapple
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
    3 medium onions
    1 c. green pepper, chopped
    3 medium tomatoes, in wedges
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Cut meat into 1 1/2-inch chunks.
    Heat oil in heavy skillet. Add garlic and meat; brown well.
    Drain oil from pan.
    Add syrup from pineapple, salt, pepper, ginger, chicken consomme and half of vinegar.
    Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Add celery, green pepper and onions.
    Cook 10 minutes.
    Add tomato wedges and pineapple chunks.
