Ingredients

1 1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
3 (14.5 oz.) cans sliced beets
Preparation

Mix vinegar, water, sugar and salt and let come to a boil. Add beets; bring back to a boil. Simmer approximately 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 1 quart. Store in refrigerator.
