Fruit Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. water
    2 (6 oz.) cans frozen lemon juice
    2 (6 oz.) cans frozen orange juice
    46 oz. can pineapple juice
    2 qt. ginger ale
    1/2 gal. sherbet ice cream
Preparation
    Combine sugar and 2 1/2 cups water in saucepan.
    Put on the heat until sugar is dissolved; cool.
    Add frozen lemon juice, orange juice and pineapple juice.
    Blend thoroughly and chill. Pour juice over the sherbet.
    Mix and serve.
