Rosalyn Carter'S Cheese Ring - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. finely chopped green onions
    dash of black pepper
    dash of cayenne pepper
    1 jar strawberry preserves (save until later)
    crackers
Preparation
    Combine cheese, mayonnaise, nuts, onions and peppers; mix well. Press into 3-cup ring mold to make shape.
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
    Remove from mold.
    Fill center with strawberry preserves and serve with crackers.
