Squash Maximilian - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. yellow summer squash
    8 slices bacon
    1 large onion, sliced in rings
    1 roll jalapeno cheese, cubed
    cracker crumbs
Preparation
    Cut squash into pieces; boil in unsalted water.
    Drain completely.
    Fry bacon until crisp; remove from skillet.
    Brown onion rings in some of the bacon drippings.
    In a greased casserole, make layers, beginning with drained squash, crumbled bacon, onion rings and cheese cubes.
    Repeat layers, then top with cracker crumbs.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Serves 10.
