Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 c. chopped onion
    4 c. cooked rice
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    2 c. sour cream
    1 c. cottage cheese
    3 (4 oz.) cans green chiles
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter.
    Stir in hot rice, sour cream, cottage cheese and seasonings.
    In buttered dish, layer one-half of rice mixture; sprinkle with 1/2 cheese and 1/2 green chiles.
    Repeat layer of rice, cheese and chiles.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
