Icebox Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can French green beans, drained
    1 can white corn, drained
    1 can peas, drained
    1 (4 oz.) jar red pimentos, drained
    1 c. celery, diced
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 medium green pepper, chopped
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. vegetable oil (canola)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Mix first 7 ingredients together.
    Bring to a boil the sugar, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Cool slightly. Pour over vegetables.
    Cover.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Keeps up to a week in refrigerator.
