Persimmon Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 stick butter
    1/3 c. white syrup
    1 c. condensed milk
    1 c. persimmon pulp
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a large heavy kettle, mix together the sugar, butter, syrup, milk and pulp.
    Cook to soft ball stage (235\u00b0).
    Allow to cool and add salt and vanilla.
    Beat until creamy.
    Pour into buttered pan.
