My Mother'S Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. applesauce
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Cream the sugars and shortening.
Add egg and applesauce.
(Do not use mixer.)
Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Add to mixture. Add cinnamon, nutmeg and raisins before stirring in flour.
Mix well.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 12-inch pan. Bake at 325\u00b0.
Serves 15 plus.
