Mom'S Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter (only)
    1/2 c. shortening
    5 large eggs
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. rum extract
    1 tsp. butter and nut extract
    1 c. red maraschino cherries, leave them whole
    1 c. green maraschino cherries, leave them whole
    1 c. flaked coconut
    1 c. black walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar until creamy.
    Add the eggs and beat 10 minutes.
    Be sure to time and beat 10 minutes.
    Add other ingredients.
    Fold in nuts, cherries and coconut.
    Bake in Bundt pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Do not open the oven door for 1 hour.
