Italian Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 lb.) rump roast
    dash of oregano
    1 bay leaf
    2 Tbsp. white vinegar
    2 tsp. caraway seed
    2 medium onions, sliced thin
    1 clove garlic (whole)
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Salt and pepper roast.
    Put in a Dutch oven.
    Add all ingredients on top of roast.
    Cover; put on low heat on top of stove.
    Cook for 3 hours, turning meat periodically.
    After 3 hours, remove meat and place on platter.
    To the sauce, add 4 sliced green peppers and 3 cups water; simmer 1/2 hour.
    Slice meat then for sandwiches and pour sauce over meat.
