Broccoli Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    6 c. chicken broth or 1 (49 oz.) can
    12 oz. wide egg noodles
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
    1/4 tsp. garlic salt
    4 c. milk
    1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
    1/2 lb. white American cheese
Preparation
    Melt butter in a large pot.
    Add onion.
    Saute for 3 minutes. Add broth.
    Heat until boiling.
    Stir occasionally.
    Gradually add noodles.
    Continue to boil.
    Cook uncovered for 3 minutes.
    Stir in broccoli and garlic.
    Cook 4 minutes or longer if using fresh broccoli.
    Add milk and cheese.
    Cook until cheese melts.
    Add more milk if soup is too thick.
