Ingredients

3 qt. figs, washed and cut in half
6 c. sugar
1/4 c. lemon juice (bottled)
Preparation

Put figs in a heavy pot and cover with sugar.
Let stand overnight.
Stir well next morning, bring to a boil and cook on medium heat until thick, stirring frequently to prevent sticking. Add lemon juice.
Mix well.
Pour hot into hot sterilized jars and seal.
