Chicken Picante - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 to 6 uncooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts
garlic salt
pepper
1 c. uncooked rice
1 c. mild picante sauce
1/2 c. Monterey Jack, grated
14 1/2 oz. chicken broth
8 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 c. diced onion
1/2 c. diced bell pepper
1/2 c. grated Cheddar
Preparation

Sprinkle both sides of chicken with garlic salt and pepper. Spread rice in bottom of a 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish. Arrange chicken pieces on top of rice.
In a small bowl, stir together broth, picante sauce, tomato sauce, onion and bell pepper.
Pour mixture over chicken. Bake, covered, 55 to 60 minutes at 350\u00b0. Uncover and sprinkle cheese on top. Bake 5 minutes more.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
