Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    2 sticks butter
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
    6 eggs
    1 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Sift and measure flour; resift flour with soda.
    Cream soft butter; add sugar and cream well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Stir in sour cream.
    Add dry ingredients, 1/2 cup at a time, beating constantly.
    Stir in flavoring.
    Pour into well-greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Place pan on rack to cool 5 minutes. Serve plain.
    This cake freezes well.
