*Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    6 to 8 large peppers
    1/2 c. rice, uncooked
    1 onion, chopped
    1 small can tomato sauce
    2 1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 to 3 Tbsp. tomato paste
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown meat lightly in butter.
    Add onion to meat and saute until onion is soft.
    Stir in seasonings and rice.
    Add 1/2 can of tomato sauce and 1/2 cup water.
    Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Cut tops off peppers.
    Clean and remove seeds and membranes.
    Stuff peppers with meat and rice mixture and place in a baking dish.
    Combine remaining tomato sauce, tomato paste and remaining water.
    Cover tops of peppers with some sauce and pour remainder into the baking dish.
    Bake, covered, in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
    Add additional water, if necessary.
