Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    4 eggs
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Bring butter and eggs to room temperature.
    In a mixing bowl, sift together flour and baking powder.
    In mixer, beat butter for 30 seconds.
    Add sugar to butter, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating on medium to high until light and fluffy.
    Beat in vanilla and almond extract.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating one minute after each addition.
    Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, beating on medium speed until combined.
    Pour batter into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 55 to 65 minutes or until cake is done.
    Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes.
    Remove from pan.
