Woodford Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. blackberry jam
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and butter until light.
    Add eggs and mix well. Dissolve the soda in the buttermilk. Add the flour (which has been sifted with the cinnamon) to the sugar and egg mixture. Add buttermilk mixture.
    Blend in the jam.
    Bake in a greased shallow baking dish about 40 minutes in a 325\u00b0 oven.
    Cut in squares and top with sauce.
