Banana Nut Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1/4 c. broken walnuts
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture alternating with bananas.
Beat well after each addition.
Stir in walnuts. Pour into a well-greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 about 1 hour.
Remove from pan and cool on rack.
