Cornbread Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    1 stick butter
    3 eggs
    2 to 3 stalks celery, finely chopped
    1 large onion, finely chopped
    6 to 7 slices stale bread, crumbled
    1 1/2 to 2 c. turkey broth
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. sage (optional)
Preparation
    Mix meal, flour, milk, butter and eggs.
    Add celery and onions.
    Pour into 8-inch square dish and bake about 25 minutes at 400\u00b0 or until golden brown to make cornbread.
    Break up cornbread and mix with crumbled bread and pour turkey broth over this. Allow to stand for a little while and then blend well.
    Add salt and pepper to taste and sage, if desired.
    Place in Pyrex dish and bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Do not overcook.
    It will be dry.
    Serves 8 to 10.
