Hot Water Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/3 c. hot water
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour and measure 2 cups.
    Add 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon baking powder; sift.
    Add shortening to 1/3 cup boiling water and stir until smooth.
    Then add to flour and stir until blended; roll in waxed paper and chill slightly before rolling into pie crust.
    (Makes two 8-inch crusts.)
