Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 (No. 2) can cream-style corn
1 small onion
3/4 c. milk
1/2 lb. ground beef meat
1/2 lb. grated cheese
2 or 4 jalapeno peppers
4 Tbsp. bacon drippings
Preparation

Mix the first 6 ingredients and saute ground beef with cheese and peppers.
Pour part of bacon drippings in a skillet.
Sprinkle with corn meal.
Pour 1/2 of bacon drippings in the cheese and meat mixture.
Pour 1/2 of the batter in the skillet.
Add meat mixture and add the rest of batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
