Ingredients

1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
Preparation

Combine flour and milk in saucepan.
Cook, stirring constantly with wire whisk, until mixture thickens and boils.
(It may form a ball, that's okay.)
Cool completely.
Cream butter or margarine and shortening.
Add vanilla and salt, gradually add powdered sugar.
Blend in cooled flour mixture until real smooth and creamy.
Fill pastry tube with filling; insert narrow tip into center of cooled cupcake.
Squeeze gently until cupcake begins to swell or to peak.
Cover hole with frosting.
