Mexican Black-Eyed Peas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. black-eyed peas
2 lb. sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can tomatoes
2 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. black pepper
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. garlic salt
2 1/2 Tbsp. chopped celery
Preparation

Soak black-eyed peas overnight in water.
Brown sausage.
Add onion and cook until tender.
Drain.
Add 1/2 cup water to drained peas.
Also add chili powder, sugar, black pepper, garlic salt and celery.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; simmer 1 1/2 hours.
Add water, if needed.
