Mushroom Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. rice (not Minute type)
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1 large onion, chopped fine
    2 bay leaves, crumbled
    3 c. chicken broth
    butter (about 3 Tbsp.)
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute mushrooms and onions in butter, until onions are transparent.
    Add rice and stir until rice is completely coated. Heat broth.
    Add slowly to rice.
    Add in remaining ingredients. Place in 9 x 13-inch oblong baking pan and cover tightly with aluminum foil, because you want it to steam.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
    Watch carefully last few minutes, because rice will dry out quickly.
