Erna'S Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1/3 c. milk
2 Tbsp. shortening
2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly.
Boil briskly for 1 minute.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Beat until thick enough to spread.
