Pumpkin Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) can pumpkin
    2 onions, diced
    2 cabbage leaves, diced
    1/2 c. split yellow peas, soaked overnight
    1/2 lb. salt pork, cubed or ham bone
    pinch of thyme
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook onions in butter until soft.
    Cover with water.
    Add other ingredients and simmer for at least 2 hours.
