Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour, lightly packed
3 Tbsp. cocoa (heaping)
2 c. milk
3 eggs, separated
1/2 stick butter
dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (9-inch) baked pastry shell
Preparation

Mix sugar, flour and cocoa together.
Add enough of the milk to make a paste.
Beat in egg yolks well.
Heat remaining milk with butter and salt until butter is melted.
Add milk mixture to first mixture and cook until thick.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla.
Cool and pour into baked 9-inch pie crust.
Cover with meringue and brown.
Serves 6 to 8.
