Swiss Steak With Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 cup flour
    1 tsp dry mustard
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
Preparation
    Sift ingredients together and beat into 3 lb round steak cut thick. Pound in until all the flour is taken up. Then brown pieces of steak in 1/3 cup butter or other shortening in frying pan. After browned on both sides put in a casserole dish. Saute 2 cups sliced onions in frying pan till softened. Remove from pan. Rinse pan with 1 cup water and pour over steak pieces. Arrange onions over steak-covered casserole and bake in slow oven 325\u00b0 for about 2 hours or till tender.
