Wasps' Nests - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 lb. sliced almonds
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
8 oz. chocolate chips or M&M's
3 egg whites
2 c. confectioners sugar

Preparation

Butter and flour cookie sheets. Set oven to 350\u00b0. Cook together until syrup spins a thread (240\u00b0) 1/4 cup sugar and water. Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips or M&M's. Beat egg whites until very stiff. Add sugar by spoonfuls while beating constantly. Add the chocolate and almonds to egg white mixture. Put 1/2 teaspoon of dough on cookie sheets. Bake for about 25 minutes (until dry). Let stand 10 minutes and remove.
