Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    1 can evaporated milk
    1 lb. caramels
    1 c. pecans
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt butter and mix with cake mix and 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Bake 1/2 of this in 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 5 or 6 minutes. Melt caramels with 1/2 cup evaporated milk.
    Spread on cake; sprinkle pecans and chocolate chips over cake.
    Dot remaining batter over cake, then bake for 30 more minutes.
