Layered Green Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    3/4 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 bell pepper, chopped
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    1/4 c. onions, thinly sliced
    1 pkg. frozen peas (do not defrost)
    2 c. mayo
    1 tsp. seasoned salt
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    grated cheese
    crumbled fried bacon
    2 or 3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
    tomatoes
Preparation
    Place the first 6 ingredients in layers in order given in large salad bowl.
    On top of salad ingredients, spread the mayo and sprinkle sugar, seasoned salt and garlic powder.
    Cover with heavy layer of cheese.
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
