Pretzel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. crushed pretzels
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple, drained
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Mix pretzels, 1/2 cup sugar and margarine and press into dish (I use an 8 x 8-inch dish).
    Mix 1/2 cup sugar, Cool Whip and cream cheese very well.
    Spread on first layer and chill.
    Mix 1/4 cup sugar, cornstarch and pineapple juice together.
    Cook over low to medium heat, stirring until clear.
    Cool.
    Add pineapple and spread over second layer.
