Toasted Italian Biscottis - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. oleo or butter
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 level tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. pure vanilla
1/2 tsp. anise flavoring
1/4 c. milk
1 jar or 1 c. cherries, cut up
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients and set aside.
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a
time, until light and creamy.
Fold in flavors and milk. Then fold in the dry ingredients (flour, salt and baking powder).
Fold in cut up cherries and nuts.
Bake in a thick jelly roll pan (greased and floured), 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Cut in 3 long lines and then in pieces 1-inch across.
Lay each piece in pan again and toast in oven until light tan.
