Apple Orchard Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar, divided
    1/2 c. oleo
    4 c. sliced apples
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    1 1/3 c. coconut
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt and 1/3 cup sugar and oleo.
    Mix like pie crust.
    Pat into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Put apples, lemon juice, cinnamon and 1/3 cup sugar in bowl; mix well.
    Then put over crust.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Combine remaining sugar, egg, milk, nuts and coconut.
    Spread over baked apples and bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
