A Pound Cake(By Kathering Brown, A Friend) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 eggs
    1 c. butter (2 sticks)
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. mace
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Blend soft butter and sugar.
    Add mace and flavoring.
    Beat in 4 eggs, one at a time.
    Gradually add flour and remaining egg.
    Mix well.
    Put in a well-greased tube cake pan.
    Place in a cold oven. Set oven at 300\u00b0.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours or until done.
    Remove from pan.
    Keep in tightly sealed cake box or foil.
    It can be frozen.
