Spoon Corn Bread(My Mother'S Recipe From The Deep South.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    3/4 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation
    Mix corn meal with 1/4 cup cold water.
    Add boiling water and stir.
    Add salt, sugar and egg. Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add to mixture. Add melted butter. Pour into casserole dish and bake in hot oven at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
