Beef Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 to 3 lb. stewing beef (cubed)
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 beef bouillon cubes
3 c. hot water
4 potatoes, quartered
6 carrots, chunks
1 medium onion, chopped
1 c. celery, 1-inch length
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. cold water
Preparation

Preheat 6 quart Dutch oven for 3 minutes over medium heat. Brown beef cubes on all sides, about 10 minutes.
Add salt, pepper and bouillon.
Cover and when vapors escape from cover, reduce heat to low and simmer 45 minutes.
Increase heat to medium.
Add potatoes, carrots, onions and celery.
Cover and when vapor escapes from cover, reduce heat to low.
Simmer for 45 minutes or until vegetables and meat are tender.
