Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1/3 c. bacon drippings
    1 c. sweet milk
    2 eggs, well beaten
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 small jar pimento
    1 can (No. 3) creamed corn
    1/2 lb. ground round
    1 large onion, chopped fine
    1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    1/2 bell pepper, chopped
    3 to 6 jalapeno peppers, chopped
Preparation
    Mix first 8 ingredients and set aside.
    Cook ground round, place on pepper towel to drain.
    Combine all ingredients and put into baking pan in which you have already sprinkled a thin layer of cornmeal and slightly browned.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes until done.
