Kiplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine or shortening (I use 3/4 c. margarine and 1/4 c. shortening)
    2 c. self-rising flour
    3/4 c. confectioners sugar
    2 c. finely chopped pecans
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix together all ingredients and place in refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours. Pinch off small amounts and roll into crescent shapes. Bake at 250\u00b0 until brown. Cool slightly. Put each cookie in a small brown paper bag with confectioners sugar and gently shake to coat them. Cool on wax paper.
