Bananas In Rum - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 slices lemon (with rind), halved
    4 slices orange (with rind), halved
    1 tsp. rum extract
    6 large ripe bananas
    1/4 c. butter
    2 oz. dark Jamaica rum
Preparation
    Boil the water, sugars and fruit until the syrup will glaze on a spoon.
    Add the extract.
    Slice the bananas and saute them in butter. Gently fold the bananas into the syrup.
    Divide the fruit mix and syrup between 6 dessert cups. Sprinkle a teaspoon of rum over each serving.
    This is best served hot.
