Shepherd'S Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    beef, cut into cubes
    1 onion, cut up
    any juice and gravy from beef
    any leftover vegetables
    any small cans vegetables
    mashed potatoes
    mushrooms
    1/2 c. red wine
    herbs and seasonings
Preparation
    Saute onion until translucent.
    Add beef, juices and gravy. Add drained vegetables, mushrooms, herbs, thyme, basil, parsley, etc., and salt and pepper.
    Taste for balance.
    Add red wine; let simmer for a short time to marry flavors.
    Place in a baking dish; let it cool.
    Cover the top with seasoned mashed potatoes; instant are great for this.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until bubbly, 1/2 to 3/4 hour.
